All sensitive data is stored in an encrypted database and the only way to decrypt the data is with the master key you set when signing up. Its highly recommended to use this app together with biometrics (Touch ID & Face ID) and a device without a set password wont work together with this app.
The account and database are shared with the web application which is found on pw.tesserasecurity.com that includes more functionalities and paid features, all synced across devices.
